Registration is open for a webinar on the role of geothermal and solar thermal in sustainable cooling solutions on 15 May 2023.

The European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) will be hosting a webinar,  “Towards a Net-Zero Future: the vital role of geothermal and solar thermal in providing sustainable cooling solutions”, bringing together experts from the COOLING DOWN Consortium and beyond to explore innovative renewable cooling solutions in a changing energy market.

The webinar will be 15 May 2023, 14:00 to 15:30 CET. Registration is free and can be done via this link.

As the planet heats up, sustainable solutions for cooling become essential for households, cities, businesses and industry. Geothermal and solar thermal are renewable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. Integrating them into our individual and common living spaces, workplaces and manufacturing processes is a critical part of climate mitigation and adaptation. They are also key to avoiding additional stress on electricity systems and resource consumption.

More details on the event, including the schedule and list of speakers, are available on the event website.

The event is supported by the COOLING DOWN EU project, funded under the LIFE programme.
