Webinar – Enabling geothermal power generation with modular ORC solutions, 10 April 2026
Join us on 10 April 2026 for a webinar on how modular ORC solutions are enabling geothermal power generation with minimal investment risk.
As part of the regular Focus on Geothermal Webinar series – a partnership of Enerchange and ThinkGeoEnergy, we are proud to host Veronica Schwarz of Orcan Energy for a webinar on “Flexible Geothermal Power Generation with Minimal Investment Risk through Modular ORC Solutions.” Further details are as follows:

Speaker: Veronica Schwarz, Sales Engineer, Orcan Energy
The Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) enables efficient conversion of geothermal heat into electricity, and modular ORC systems provide a flexible, scalable, and economically attractive way to utilize low- to medium-enthalpy geothermal resources – independent of seasonal variations in heat demand. Because geothermal plants often struggle to match fluctuating heat requirements in applications like district heating or greenhouses, unused energy is common during low-demand periods.
Orcan’s modular ORC technology addresses this challenge by enabling continuous power generation and converting excess or unstable heat into electricity. Unlike conventional power plants with fixed output, Orcan’s modular approach allows capacity to be adapted to the available thermal input, reducing risk in early-stage geothermal developments where actual output becomes clear only after drilling.
The ability to relocate or repurpose individual ORC modules – starting with power generation and later shifting toward direct heat use if desired – maximizes return on investment, lowers operating costs, and supports year-round operation, which can also stabilize ESP load and extend equipment lifetime.

About the speaker
Veronica Schwarz holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich and has been with Orcan Energy since 2018. During her time at the company, she has gained broad experience in both technical and commercial roles. In her current position as Sales Engineer, she is responsible for key accounts in the European industrial and geothermal sector.
Veronica works closely with project developers and operators to support Power Generation from Geothermal Heat using modular and flexible ORC-solutions.
