Registration is open for an in-person technical session in Paris, France on 20 January under the Kenya-Tanzania-Uganda-France geothermal partnership program.

Registration is open for an upcoming in-person technical workshop under the FEXTE Kenya–Tanzania–Uganda–France (FEXTE KTUF) Partnership on Geothermal Development. The event will be held on 20 January 2026 in Paris, France. Presentations will be in English and attendance is free of charge.

Click here to register. Registration will be open only until 12 January 2026.

The workshop programme can be accessed via this link.

Announced in October 2025, the FEXTE KTUF Partnership aims to combine Kenya’s expertise in deep geothermal power generation with French know-how in direct-use applications of geothermal heat. This synergy will help unlock the region’s vast geothermal potential, particularly in Tanzania and Uganda, with the possibility of expansion to other countries.

By capitalising on the diversity of national experiences and the complementary expertise of the partners, this two-year project aims to address common challenges and jointly develop roadmaps for geothermal development, both for electricity production and direct uses (district heating, industry, agri-food, etc.).

The workshop will be hosted by the French Association of Geothermal Professionals (Association Française des Professionnels de la Géothermie / AFPG) and the French Development Agency (AFD).
