Registration is now open for the 2026 Taiwan International Geothermal Conference, taking place on 26-27 March 2026 at the Kwo-Kwang Conferece Hall in Taipei, Taiwan. The event is being organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Aside from the conference programme with talks and panel discussions, the event will also feature an exhibition, workshop, and a field trip to the Qingshui Geothermal Area.
Interested participants may register for the conference and field trip and view the agenda on the official event website. Applications are also still open for exhibition booths and workshop speakers.
TIGC 2026, themed “Accelerating Taiwan’s Next-Generation Geothermal Development,” aims to drive international collaboration and knowledge sharing through multi-level dialogues across policy, technology, and industry. The conference will focus on four key themes: Taiwan’s geothermal policies and current progress; international geothermal development and government experiences; next-generation geothermal technologies (EGS, AGS, SGS) innovative applications; and geothermal plant operations and local government engagement.
TIGC 2026 will have a Geothermal Solutions Exhibition, a platform where domestic and international vendors can showcase their technologies and solutions, while also facilitating technical exchange and industrial matchmaking. There will also be a workshop on Conventional Geothermal, with a focus on the three stages of drilling, engineering planning, and operation.
The event organizers would like to invite partners from government, academia, and industry worldwide to deepen international cooperation and advance Taiwan’s geothermal development. International companies are welcome to participate in conference sessions, exhibition booths, serve as speakers in the Conventional Geothermal System (CGS) Workshop, and join the field trip to foster industrial exchange and collaboration.
