Want to make your WGC 2026 even more memorable? Then join the WING Battle of the Bands, happening on 8 June 2026. Group and solo performers are welcome.
Do you play guitar, sing, or enjoy performing music? The geothermal community is once again taking the stage.
Women in Geothermal (WING) is calling on geothermal musicians from across the global community to join the WING Battle of the Bands, taking place during the World Geothermal Congress 2026 (WGC2026) in Calgary, Canada. This unique event invites geothermal professionals with musical talents to perform in a fun and informal evening that celebrates the creativity, diversity, and strong community spirit of the geothermal sector.
The Battle of the Bands will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Palace Theatre in Calgary, with doors opening at 6:30 PM.
Musicians interested in performing are asked to sign up before April 30, allowing the house band time to prepare and coordinate the performances.
The goal of the event is to bring as many geothermal musicians as possible onto the stage and create an unforgettable evening of music, connection, and community during WGC 2026. The evening will also celebrate the diverse cultures that make up the global geothermal community, including Indigenous voices and traditions.
Are you a solo musician?
To make participation easy for solo musicians, a professional house band will provide support with more than 150 songs to choose from. All music gear and stage equipment will be provided. The list of available songs is indicated on the registration form.
