Mexico City to host GEOLAC 2026 and Clean Firm Power LATAM Summit on February 2026
GEOLAC 2026 in Mexico City will bring together leaders and experts from the Latin American geothermal sector, along with the first Clean Firm Power Summit.
Mexico City will host the 12th Geothermal Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean (GEOLAC 2026), which will take place together with the launch of the first Clean Firm Power (CFP) Summit 2026, consolidating a strategic space for the development of firm and sustainable energy in the region. The events will take place on 11 – 12 February 2026.
For the past 12 years, the Geothermal Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean (GEOLAC) has established itself as the main meeting point for the geothermal market in the region, bringing together key players from the public, private and multilateral sectors.

In 2026, GEOLAC will be held in Mexico City, bringing together more than 250 leaders to advance the deployment of geothermal energy in Latin America and the Caribbean. The event is once again co-organized by the World Bank and ESMAP .
The regional context makes this meeting particularly timely. The Mexican government recently announced the opening of the country’s geothermal development to international private sector participation, creating new opportunities for investment and partnerships. Meanwhile, other countries in the region are showing concrete progress and renewed momentum in geothermal projects. Now is the time.
GEOLAC 2026 coincides with the opening of the Clean Firm Power LATAM Summit (CFP-LATAM). The event will take place on February 11 and 12.
Both meetings will take place at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma, in Mexico City, Mexico.
While GEOLAC focuses exclusively on geothermal energy, CFP-LATAM addresses the role of clean and firm energy in the face of the growing demand of the digital economy, driven by artificial intelligence, data centers and industrial electrification.
Participate in GEOLAC 2026, a leading geothermal event in the region, or combine it with CFP-LATAM for a complete overview of the future of clean and reliable energy in Latin America.
