Ecopetrol soliciting information on geothermal technical solutions providers
Colombian energy company Ecopetrol is soliciting information from national and international companies offering technological geothermal solutions.
Ecopetrol, the primary petroleum company of Colombia, is soliciting information on national and international companies with capabilities to provide technologies applicable to geothermal co-production, waste heat recovery, gas-to-energy conversions, synergies with CCUS, artificial lift optimization, and portfolio-level thermal analysis.
This initiative is part of the Integrated Thermal Management Framework which aims to position subsurface heat and waste heat flows as a strategic asset within Ecopetrol. The company will then evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of implementing the technologies.
Companies interested in participating in this solicitation round are encouraged to fill up this form. The solicitation round closes on 24 April 2026.
Ecopetrol holds exploration permits for several geothermal sites in Colombia including Azufral and Caldas.
